The Future of Sustainable Flight at Bromma

Over the past two days, we had the privilege of hosting a highly anticipated visit by the all-electric aircraft Alia CTOL, developed by BETA Technologies. Together with our partner Bromma Air Maintenance and Industriflyg, we welcomed a diverse and engaged audience representing the business community, aviation professionals, and political decision makers - each with a shared interest in the future of sustainable aviation.

The visit offered a rare, hands-on insight into what next generation electric flight can look like in real operations. Alia - designed to deliver zero-emission flight with low noise, high efficiency, and operational flexibility, sparked meaningful discussions around infrastructure, certification, regulation, and how electric aircraft can be integrated into existing airport environments.

One of the most striking aspects we experienced firsthand was just how quiet the aircraft truly is. Observing both takeoff and landing at close range, the remarkably low noise signature was immediately apparent - far below what we are accustomed to with conventional turbine aircraft. Equally impressive was witnessing the efficiency of its ground readiness. From initial start-up to taxi, the aircraft was operational in a matter of moments, underscoring the streamlined procedures and simplicity that electric propulsion can bring to daily operations.

Beyond the aircraft itself, the conversations over these two days highlighted a broader shift underway in aviation. Stakeholders from industry and government alike explored how electric aviation can support regional connectivity, reduce environmental impact, and accelerate the transition toward more sustainable air transport - without compromising safety or operational reliability.

For us as hosts, this visit was both inspiring and affirming. It reinforced the importance of collaboration between manufacturers, operators, authorities, and policymakers in turning innovation into reality. We are proud to have contributed to this dialogue and to have gained an invaluable perspective on how the future of flight is taking shape.

We are ready for what lies ahead - and we look forward to closely following, and supporting, the continued development of electric aviation as it moves from vision to everyday operations.
